In continuation of our objective third party reviews of other gay cartoon paysites, I recently contracted with a website reviewer to have a thorough look both inside and out of the Toon Gay Club website. Here is what they found on their recent visit to this site.
The Toon Gay Club tour shows colorful cartoon guys fucking, kissing and jacking off. The art is a mix of western styles and anime, and if you click in a couple pages, there’s a 12-page comic book with cover and dialog as a sample. There’s plenty of hard toon cock, cock sucking, lots of kissing and colorful toon action, and the tour lists off some of the features in the member area: downloadable zip files, no cross sales, daily updates and 8 bonus sites. When you login into Toon Gay Club, you’ll find yourself on the network home page, but with a click of a button, you’re in the site. The content is broken into 5 categories – 3D, COmics & Manga, Yaoi, Artwork, Shemale and there is also a bonus section. There are currently 573 galleries, and you can see by the updates list on the right side of the page that at least one is updated with a new pic each day. Don’t be surprised to see tits on the page, there’s a fairly large collection of shemale toons here in addition to the gay content. There are no movies except in the bonus feeds and these aren’t cartoons.
There’s a wide variety of types of action here. I found one gallery featuring big muscular men in a hot suck-and-fuck orgy. There’s also slender college guys naked or in hardcore action, and toon models with rock-hard cocks or semi-undressed in erotic art. There are some full-on comics in the Comics & Manga section, complete with dialog, plots and good quality art, but there’s also some much less detailed and less well-drawn stuff.
Toon Gay Club’s pics come in a wide variety of sizes. Some pics were offered at 500×500, but with a black bar to sort of letterbox them, so the actual art was shown at around 400×500. There were some 640×480 sized pics, and some much larger, shown at around 740×1024. Quality varies from average to very nice, and all the galleries can be viewed as a slideshow or downloaded in zip files. A lot of the pics here are on the small side for most of us, but still big enough to clearly see the action and read the dialog.
Whether you’re looking for romantic gay sex, down and dirty fucking, outdoor action or semi-nude hotties, it’s all here at Toon Gay Club. Since there are no categories except by type of art, I felt it was a good thing that the site is searchable. On the other hand, the search is only as good as the terms used for each set. I tried the term “uncut” in the search box, and got no results – despite the fact that I saw plenty of impossibly huge uncut cocks during my visit to the site. I had a look at one of the recent full color gallery updates and found that they are offering some of the same images that pretty much all gay cartoon sites have somewhere in their collection, but they are offering them in recent updates which suggests to me they are possibly rotating their content, essentially reusing older art as new updates for those members that just joined for the first time. By reusing older content, it also suggests that the site does not update with new, original content as much as I would like to see for the prices they want to charge for memberships.
Now let’s talk bonus content. First off, full members get access to the 8 toon bonus sites from the same network, but these are primarily straight sites. Still, if you’re a toon lover or into str8 as well as gay content, these sites would add a lot of value. Also there are 5 gay feeds and 1 shemale feed. Two of the feeds are Flash movie series with multiple episodes, including my favorite, Gay Life! and also includes Dick Pounders.
There’s a lot of shemale content in the non-shemale sections, and considering that there is a shemale category, this seems like carelessness or like trying to make the non-shemale sections seem larger by padding them with tgirl content. There are some sections that include pics that make no sense. For example, Beautiful Muscle Bodies 1 includes mostly slender guys and shemales, and very few muscular toons at all. Some of the galleries are a mix of color and black and white pics, and I’d rather see the black and white in its own collections.
Does the site have any non-content related issues? Well, there’s a pre-checked email offer on the join page. Also trial members get very limited access to bonuses, so if you want to have complete network access, you’ll need to be a full member…Something that’s not quite explained very clearly in the tour.
Toon Gay Club delivers 573 galleries, a new pic or a few more added every day, (but it looks like a high percentage of their updates are shemale cartoons) and an ad-free member area. While there’s plenty of naked toon men and ass-pounding gay hardcore, there’s also a lot of shemale content here, and not just in the shemale section, it seems to be scattered about in many of the categories and galleries throughout the site. I would have preferred better orgnization, and there’s a lot more black and white toon art than you’d expect from the tour. On the other hand, there’s some very hot comic books in addition to erotic art, Manga and rendered 3D art. I wish that some of the pics were bigger, but I liked the downloadable zip files and the bonus feeds, and there are 8 straight toon bonus sites. If you’re into gay cartoons and erotic art, Toon Gay Club is worth at least a temporary look if for nothing more than to check out their archives and the access to the other sites they offer.

As I’ve said in previous blog posts, we are heading in some new directions with the art in our SpunkToons members area, moving away from more general gay art categories and focusing more on specific categories that I feel appeal more to our members. Five new categories of art pinups were added to the members area this week and will be updated monthly. These include, Bara, Big Cocks, CosPlay, Manga Boys, and Horny Dieties. Here are brief descriptions of the art in each category:
Bara – Manly men, chubbs, bears, and muscle hunks. These pinups will focus on men having sex in a variety of situations that we all have heard of, or perhaps fantasize about. Men having sex in a truck stop, greasy mechanics fucking in a dirty garage, or daddy bears stroking their meat and much more. This section will be updated every month with a new pinup set.
Big Cocks – This one pretty much goes without explanation! I mean if you need me to explain what might be in a Big Cocks gallery then perhaps you are reading the wrong blog! LOL! All kidding aside, this gallery category will feature pinup sets focusing on men and huge cocks emphasizing both the pain and pleasure they can bring for the owners of these protruding monsters! A new pinup set will be added every month to this category.
CosPlay – This section was born of an idea from one of our regular contributing artists and is a series of pins of guys dressing up as their favorite anime / manga character and instead of just being in character according to the original manga or anime storyline, we take it one step further and let our CosPlayers enjoy the sex between characters that we all dream about seeing in our mangas or anime videos. We will be adding a new set of gay sexual CosPlay pins to this category every month.
Manga Boys – Everyone has their favorite manga characters, many of which aren’t gay, but that never stopped us from wishing they were! In this gallery collection your favorite male manga characters come alive as parodies of their original characters, but in our pinups they are surely gay, and doing what horny gay men love to do! There will be a new set of Manga Boys every month.
Horny Dieties – As I mentioned in previous posts, I’ve been doing research on the Greek and Roman dieties and mythology, and in that research realized quickly that there was a lot of sexuality among these hulking and apparantly very horny men! So after testing some pinups of Greek Gods with one of our artists and loving the result, I’ve decided to make it a regular gallery section in our members area. We will update this section every other month for now until I know more about how it is received by our membership.
Gay Superheroes – We have actually been having pinup sets of gay superheroes drawn for us for some time now, however I decided to finally put them in a category of their own so that they are easier for our members to find. You will find parodies of your favorite men in tights in this category and it is updated monthly with a new gallery.

Sometimes the manga original of a yaoi storyline is better than the anime OVA DVD . This seems to be the general consensus of those who took the time to review the Fake DVD on Amazon.com. As I read through the comments, more than 50 of them, the general consensus seems to be that this anime OVA is one of the better ones produced, with a compelling storyline and nice action sequences, yet falls short of the original manga when it comes to conveying the emotion and interpersonal relationship between Dee Latener and his partner Randy “Ryo” McLane.
For those of you not familiar with the story, Dee Latener and Ryo Mclane are New York City Police detectives assigned to the 27th Precinct. Dee is a gay cop who has the hots for his Japanese-American partner, Ryo. Having earned a nice vacation away from the crime and congestion of New York City, they head off to England for some relaxation at a very charming lakeside hotel. Some of the story nuances and possible sub-plots leave open the possiblity that Dee sort of planned the get away so he could be closer to Ryo. While in England on holiday, Japanese-Americans started turning up dead near their hotel. Once a cop, always a cop, vacation or not, and the two detectives got involved in trying to solve the crime. Ryo seems to be the more focused of the two on crime fighting and solving the case, while Dee seems more intent on chasing Ryo instead of suspects.
One of the often stated faults of this shoenen-ai dvd is that it starts with volume 2 of the manga instead of at the beginning of the story. Another oft repeated complaint is that, depsite this OVA’s popularity among shoenen-ai fans, there was never a follow on DVD, they did not continue the story line. There is no nudity in this anime OVA, and some complain that the video does not go far enough in the gay relationship that grows out of this police partnership, something that became more evident in Volume 7 of the manga.
Several of the comments about the Fake OVA is that it is very similar to “Kizuna” in both style and plot. Both “Fake” and “Kizuna” are stories about the long term growth and development of a gay relationship where one of the main characters has a crush on the other. Through their shared experiences during the course of the stories, in both cases the straight guy ends up falling for the gay guy by the end of the story, realizing that through all their experiences together, they had fallen in love. It’s easy to see why this is a popular subject among gay men in a world where many have fallen in love at one time or another with a straight friend or acquaintance, except in real life, it rarely works out as well for the relationship as it seems to have in both of these manga stories.
I know, from having worked with artists over the years, that it is very hard to create nuance in an anime DVD, and due to the costs involved in producing an anime movie, it is often more cost prohibitive to explore sub-plots and nuance in an anime movie than in a manga where the cost of production is much less. It’s not surprising to me that some feel that the story is better in the manga version of the “Fake” series, and perhaps it is, but for me, maybe for you too, there is nothing more pleasurable than seeing one of my favorite mangas come to life through an anime OVA DVD. While the “nuances” and sub-plots of the budding romances in these stories don’t seem to convey the depth of emotion that is achieved in the manga versions, they are still well worth the purchase and certainly good entertainment that for me gives more dimension and renewed interest in the original mangas.
Oh, and the closing song, “Starlight Heaven”, is not bad either 
We just published issue 2 of Dick Comics in the members area of Spunktoons. Dick is a computer expert who was fired from his job because he wouldn’t give in to his boss’ sexual advances, not because he wasn’t horny, but because his boss was a real loser. This DVD movie, based on the original manga by Kazuma Kodaka, is the first of two parts from it’s 1994 original publication date, and is an updated version complete with subtitling.
Young and handsome Japanese sword fighting (Kendo) champion Samejima Ranmaru saves his future boyfriend, Kei Enyoji, from an almost certain death at the hands of assasins, seemingly out to destroy him because of his family’s ties to the Japanese Mafia (Yakuza). Because of injuries sustained in saving his Kei, Ranmaru has to give up the beloved sport in which he was a rising star.
Three years later, Ranmaru and Kei end up as college roommates and become lovers. One day Ranmaru is invited to go for drinks by his professor, claiming he knows a good place to drink but doesn’t want to go alone. Although Ranmaru doesn’t like going to bars, the professor was insistent, and he agreed to go. Going with his professor, they end up in a Japanese host bar where special favors can be arranged with the pretty yaoi boys that hang out there. Having been offered a drink, Ranmaru, a non drinker, orders tea instead. As they sit in the bar drinking, Ranmaru starts feeling a little uncomfortable, and can take it no more when his professor tries to physically come on to him. Deciding he has had enough, Ranmaru decides to leave the bar only to realize he had been drugged.
One of the waiters, Sagano Kai, possibly aware of the professors intentions, or perhaps in cahoots, steps in and saves Ranmaru from the professor’s lustful clutches. However, it becomes apparant that this is no accidental meeting. Sagano Kai knew of Ranmaru when he was a Kendo champion, also training in Kendo just to be close to him. While it’s not specified in the plot, it’s possible that Sagano may have been complicit in finding Ranmaru at his university and arranging, through the professor, for Ranmaru to be brought to the pub in which he was working.
Here the story takes a very interesting twist when we find out that Sagano Kai is actually Kei Enyoji’s half brother. Kei’s mother is the mistress of a Yakuza and Sagano Kai, a few years younger than Kei, is the son of the Yakuza and his first wife. Being the son of a Yakuza, Kei Enyoji and his mistress mother are kept by the Yakuza in a mistress’ house and see his father only periodically. Sagano Kai was raised in the Yakuza’s house, being raised more by his hired assassins than by his father, and through them learned the ways of organized crime. Because of Kei Enyojis’s mother being the mistress of his Yakuza father, Sagano Kai blames her for his own parents loveless relationship. Because of his sadness from the lack of love at home, Sagano Kai actually hates Kei Enjoji and is using the guise of being in love with Kei to get close to him.
This sets up a drama filled story filled with lust, love, pain, desire, and obsession culminating in a violent rivalry between two half brothers.
The world Seinem in Japanese means “young man” and a Seinem manga is a type of manga usually drawn and written to target the young male audience. The range of age can vary from 18 to 30 years old; however, Seinem manga is also used to target businessmen in their late 40s.
The Seinem manga goes from sophisticated stories to graphic pornography, but it’s not exclusively written for gay males as is the case of Bara manga. One of the main differences is that the Seinem manga have a strong emphasis on the story line. Often they are a more realistic story in which the character develops more and that’s why sometimes Seinem manga is confused to be a girl’s manga. It’s important to distinguish that Seinmen manga is exclusively targeting young men and the story line can vary depending on the authors of the manga.
The best way to recognize a Seinem manga is to look for the word young or boy in the title as Japanese manga usually highlights in theirs. Among some of the most popular Seinem manga are: Gantz, 20th Century Boys, Blame!, Ghost in the Shell, Akira, Berserk, and Battle Angel Alita and Young Jump.
Sienem manga has a variety of genres to check out. It competes for the attention of the men that read Bara mangas too. Instead of offering the muscled, hair, ultra-macho stereotypes of Bara Mana, however, the Sienem manga has a more subtle allure and better stories, always appealing as the main characters are attractive males.

This first edition wasn’t very successful, but years later, the famous Japanese writer Shonen Sekai wrote Manga based on the First Sino-Japanese war. It wasn’t until World War II that Manga became the number one favorite magazine in Japan, though.
The success of Manga is seen in the variety of genres that one can easily find. After World War II, young men and boys were the main readers as the Manga was focused on science fiction, sports and supernatural adventures. Women and girls also enjoy reading Manga, the romantic genre is their favorite and most popular among young ladies.
Modern Magna has changed and a new variety of magazines can be found. Sex as a genre has always been part of Magna; however, starting in the early 1990s, Japan decided to censor this and other genres with explicit content.
The contemporary drawing and the explicit sexual content found in Manga targets men and readers seeking specific niches with different fetishes. Readers can easily find soft and hardcore sex.
