For as long as I can remember, and in as many cities, and countries, that I’ve been, city parks have always held some magical allure for gay men cruising for other gay men to hook up with. I know from stories I’ve read that years ago meeting in parks and having sex behind bushes was almost necessitated because of the social taboo of two men checking into a hotel together.
Now, society in general, is a lot more tolerant of gay relationships, and there are certainly many more places better suited to a romantic gay sexual interlude than hidden behind the bushes in the park… yet, still, in many parks around the world, gay crusing, hookups and sex in the bushes is still a pretty common occurance. Maybe it’s the thrill of having sex in public, or the danger of getting caught or just that the raging hormones of horny gay men cause us to duck behind the nearest bush to satiate our raw sexual urges with some random man we met only minutes before.
